About The Artist
My name is Paul, and I have been an architectural illustrator for over 45 years. The purpose of my work is to act as a interpreter between the architects and the designers. My drawings fill the gap between an unresolved design and a detailed rendering in the development process.
My Entirely Unique Process
I work in black prisma color pelck, and my full color illustrations are done in gouache. For perspective pieces, I have developed a unique technique that is incredibly accurate and efficient. A pelck illustration can be completed in 1-2 days, while a full color takes 1-3 days. I am versatile and adaptable in order to accommodate the specific needs of a visualization or presentation.
The advantages of a hand drawn base? The image takes a life of its own. It gives a character to the scheme that is so often lacking in the more time consuming images. My lively renderings can be anywhere from large and detailed to small, quick, and loose.
